Make Some Time

“He set himself to seek God…and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.”

- 2 Chronicles 26:5 AMP

With so many responsibilities throughout the day, we find it hard to fit everything in. However, we find a way to make time to eat, shower, possibly even hit the gym. In our minds we include those tasks as necessities because we have to take care of our physical bodies. Well what about our spirit man? When we start making our time spent with God as a necessity in our lives, the most important part of us gets catered to and gives us more strength than our physical bodies can ever receive. There were so many people who followed Jesus everywhere He went that He probably wouldn’t have had time alone if He didn’t get up early and seek out a deserted place (Mark 1:35). You may not be a morning person but decipher yourself when the best time is for you to have some time alone with God. Even if it is up to 15 minutes, you will still honor Him, and that time with Him will make your day brighter.

Prayer Guide: Lord I know I need to spend more time with You, not just to bring You honor, but because I know time with You will make so many things more clear for me. I believe the more time I spend with You, the better I will understand how to hear from You. I ask that You help me form a habit of seeking You because I don’t want to go another day without your guidance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
