“Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.”
-Romans 12:12 HCS
The enemy has victory if he can convince us we don’t need prayer. Satan would rather watch us run ourselves into the ground because he knows we’d eventually grow resentful without prayer. Without prayer we can never have a deep understanding of its power. God wants a relationship with you. He wants you to come to Him and speak up about your desires having the faith to know He’ll take care of it. I happen to be a big fan of our current First Lady, Michelle Obama. I can give you endless facts about her. However, we do not communicate, therefore our “relationship” (or lack there of) is null. I know of her, but I don’t know her. Communication is key in every strong relationship. Prayer is our way of communication with our Heavenly Father. We can listen to message after message, look at scripture after scripture, but our relationship grows through our communication with Him. Without prayer we will never have both deep understanding and the power to live what we’ve learned. Prayer-less lives are powerless lives.
Prayer Guide: Dear God, You created me while in my mother’s womb. You knew me before I entered this world. I know that You love me. Sometimes I get caught up in chasing the things of this world and neglect my time with You. I am choosing to change that now by being persistent in prayer. Thank You for understanding and for loving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
