Sometimes people wonder, “Why is it that God has given me this gift, but no career to go with it”? I know a lot of people in the music industry who ask this, actors, shoot even myself as an app developer has asked this question. It finally hit me one day that Jesus gave you a specific gift for a specific purpose — His purpose! Being as though God’s children are His vessels, we are to use the gifts He has given us in the way that He has designed for us. Therefore, we may not all be called to be ‘famous’. In fact, it may even be that God has given us a gift that mankind may never recognize as such. We often look for the recognition from others to make us feel validated or worthy. God gave you your abilities in order to have you fulfill the plans He has for your life. Instead of getting frustrated with the outcome of using your gifts, ask God what He designed you to use them for.
Prayer Guide:Lord I want you to use me and the gifts and talents you have blessed me with. Give me the opportunity to use my gifts on a daily basis, bringing honor & glory heartedly unto You. I ask that you make it clear to me and direct me in exactly what you have called me to do. I am your vessel whom You’ve blessed with these specific gifts for a specific purpose. I am making myself available to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
